2026 is already shaping up to be a year unlike any other as we begin moving into our very first home base in the heart of Ticonderoga. This new space will allow us to store and restore more instruments, offer in-person lessons, host expanded repair workshops, and welcome special guest artists—all under one roof. And we can’t do it without you. Music education transforms lives by building confidence, teamwork, and empathy while strengthening focus, discipline, and academic success. It reduces stress, sparks creativity, and connects students to new cultures—but without access, kids miss out on these lifelong benefits. Since 2020, WAI has collected over 700 instruments and delivered them to more than 30 schools, restoring each one so it can be played again. This year alone, we will provide 1,000+ free private lessons with college professors, train 40+ teachers in instrument repair, send hundreds of students to world-class performances, and expand our Music Summit, where 25 renowned musicians work with students from across the Adirondacks. Every day, WAI is breaking down barriers and helping more children reach their full potential through music.
