In the hands of kids...

WAI is growing by leaps and bounds and helping more and more school children each day. Since 2020, we've collected over 550 instruments and delivered them to over 30 schools. Donating an instrument is just the first step. We are working tirelessly to get them up and running and into the hands of kids. This school year alone, we are slated to give over 1000 private lessons between students and college professors, train over 40 teachers in instrument repair, send hundreds of kids to see performances by world-class artists, and maximize the impact from our Music Summit--where 25 world-class musicians work with hundreds of students from across the Adirondacks in a group-lesson setting. More and more each day, students are reaching their fullest potential and WAI is there to support their individual pursuits as well as breakdown barriers to a musical education for all kids in the region.

Every donation goes towards WAI's mission of providing better access to music for school-aged children in Northern, NY.

*A donor-advised fund (DAF) is like a charitable investment account that is set up for the sole purpose of supporting charities. Individuals can contribute cash, stocks, or other assets into the DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction. Those funds are invested for tax-free growth and the individual can recommend donations to charities of their choice over time. Donor-advised funds are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle because they are the easiest, and most tax-savvy way to give to charities like WAI.
